SKINCARE | REN'S Ready Steady Glow Tonic

Since I ran out of my current moisturiser I thought I might as well give another product a go. I have been wanting to try REN's latest product for a while so it was the right time to start using just this in a one step simple skincare routine. I wanted to use it on its own to actually see what kind of results I got and if it really does make my skin glow. The first thing that hit me was the refreshing citrus smell, I thought I would test it on my hand first off just to see if I would be sensitive to it and to my surprise the cotton pad was really quite filthy aha but it left my hand super soft. I took the plunge to try it on my face and again....filthy cotton pad but super soft skin. It leaves the skin sort of tacky which gives it that glow, to me its a similar glow as to when you put oil on your face but less oily obviously :) I let it air dry which only takes a few moments then I either put my makeup on, or leave as is. I use it every morning as it is a great way to wa...

#BEAUTY | Banish dry skin and lips with natural products - CRUELTY FREE

Who would have thought having soft hands and skin was a luxury, dry hands are a lot more common than originally thought. I mean being a women who does everything herself, DIY, washing, cleaning ,more washing, painting, washing with chemicals, dying hair....you get the drift. All that adulting takes their toll on our hands, so its important we look after them. All products are natural and cruelty free!  Here are some goodies I got sent from Avernaco , there are 2 hand creams and a lip butter. Hand and Skin Shield - Liquid Gloves The packaging at first is quite striking. Not fancy or over done, a packaging that says "I do the job, I'm not just here to be pretty" a product I would instantly go for off the shelf to solve my dry skin problem. The fragrance is refreshing and earthy with hints of aloe vera & jojoba, after putting on a little dab of cream my hands were instantly soft ...no kidding, its like a liquid glove. I cant help but rub my fingers over...

#SKINCARE | My Skin Story With Dermalogica - precleanse, cleanser, superfoliant, soothing cream

Hello my lovely readers, If you prefer the spoken word then I do have a YouTube video with my first impressions and how I used these products in my skincare routine, all links are on my blog. But I did have a little trouble with the audio and the timings of the speech so I didn't feel I could fit everything I wanted to say on the video , alas my blog post Just to recap, I got sent this Dermalogica box via Influenster which is a site for bloggers to review items they have used and to be also in with a chance of getting sent stuff to review free of charge. I was actually glad for two reasons that I got sent this Dermalogica box 1) I had never tried anything from this brand beforehand 2) my skin of late has been feeling like an abandoned umbrella on a rainy day  my skin is oily to combination , mostly an oily t -zone and I do get dry patches here and there through out the cold season The two products which I found to be most useful to me were the pre-cl...

#SKINCARE | Crabtree & Evelyn Body Duo's - White Cardamom / Cocoon & Pomegranate

If you are looking for a gift that gives comfort and indulgence for your body, here it is. I feel like this cream is so nourishing it penetrates all layers of my skin. As much as I wanted to re- gift this because it is so beautiful, I had to try it out for my blog so I can tell you whether to buy it or not! The smell is something I cannot describe, it is so spicy and long lasting I love it. Here is a quote from their website describing the smell The scent is an unexpected delicate combination of sweet iced vanilla, mid-winter mimosa, and mulled spice essences of cardamom. I could tell that the scrub had sugar in it because of the texture of the grains, and that is something I really like as it is a natural ingredient not like the plastic beads that harm the environment. It really is a luxurious scrub, it feels so silky smooth when you rub it on and gets rid of dead skin and dirt :) the cream is also smooth on application, they are a true dream duo.  ...

#SKINCARE | Nip+Fab - You NEED this scrub if you want smaller pores!

This is the first time I have used any product from NIP+FAB, and as any skincare product or brand I try for the first time I'm always unsure of how it will work with my skin. Obviously when you read reviews of products its from someone's personal use and doesn't always mean it will work the same on your own, but  I believe this product could help out a lot of skin problems. Everyone needs to exfoliate so the old skin shifts and the new skin has life :) this product is honestly now my holy grail.....like I'm Holly Golightly when she finally finds the cat with no name after all the emotional torture of not knowing where he is! (such a dramatic comparison but we'll go with it aha) I bought it when it was on offer for £6 something and I believe its £9 normally, but truly its worth the £9 ; when my one runs out I definitely will be buying another. As you can see from the photo its a sort of white paste, with the exfoliating bits in it. I massage it all over ...

#SKINCARE | REN Perfect Canvas Serum

REN is a brand I’ve only been familiar with for a short while, and although I see it most days where I work I never really had the urge to use it due to my stubborn thoughts that it is just like any other skincare brand. Sceptical Sarah for you. But after attending a training session all about REN skincare, the story behind it and a deeper look at the ingredients I decided I should really give it a go and quickly took back my stereotypical thoughts. REN recently launched a new product called: The perfect canvas finishing serum, which I was lucky enough to get a whole bottle of my own from the training session to try. My first thoughts were how aesthetically pleasing the bottle was, it looks clean , it’s the right size for the hand and has an easy to use dropper applicator. To touch it feels super smooth, I feel like that’s just a taster of what it feels like on the skin!  Now, I had been using a few of REN’s other products hand in hand with using the Perfect Canv...

#BEAUTY | Skincare haul with Chemist.co.uk

My continued love for all things skincare has lovingly been fulfilled by chemist.co.uk, I have teamed up with them to bring you some products that I have used before and recommend and some others I haven't and are pleasantly surprised by. I hadn't shopped at chemist.co.uk before, so my guess was they sold the kind of items you would find in a chemist. On the website there are various medicines you can buy and also skincare and toiletry items that you would usually find in a chemist but for a fraction of the price. I never normally shop in actual chemists for skincare items as they tend to be a lot more dearer than say Superdrug or a superstore but this online chemist is similar to the Superdrug prices. I guess I'm going to talk you through the bits I got now :) Derma V10 body butter (coconut) I don't usually tend to reach for body butters as I sometimes find them a little bit greasy, but it  was only right that I gave this one a try. I used it a c...

#SKINCARE | REN clarimatte range review for oily/combi skin

Hi guys! I got around to writing this post after I promised it a while back, but I had to be sure of what results I got before I recommended or said no to buying. I'm actually using my new laptop for the first time and the keyboard on this makes it so much easier :) happy Sarah haha. More news before I get on to this post, who has seen the blogger's essentials box from Dot Creates ?! I am the biggest stationary lover and everything in the box looks amazing.  Back to the REN post! I haven't previously used any REN products, so for me this was such a gamble. Tbh I hadn't really heard too much about REN but the 2 things I did like when I read more about them is 1. They are vegan friendly (aside from about 6 products) and 2. They do no test on animals. One of my things at the moment is buying makeup and skin care products that do not test on animals, so what a big plus that is. I bought this clarimatte pack as my skin tends to be oily/combo and it retails ...
