#BEAUTY | Skincare tips for combination skin

Hello January/February! I want to say I cant believe how fast January has gone, but its only been the last week that it seemed to have whizzed by. The weather is once again getting involved in my skincare routine and I have to change what products I have been using.  I have been drowning myself in Mac's strobe cream more than anything since the sun went into hiding. Im pretty certain MAC superfans will have this as their all time staple for the perfect glowy base. It is quite the little miracle and can add a woken up look to the dullest skin. I think its worth the little investment if you're into glowy skin. La Roche-Posay is somewhat of a new brand for me. Having first tried it out as another blogger recommended it. I have got their makeup remover which I spoke about in my recent youtube vid . This anti pore matt moisturiser I have started using as I like the consistency of it, its more of a serum. It can be used as a base for the skin as it has a little tacky ...

#BEAUTY | Faux Mink Lashes for a Natural/Flattering Look

Lashes don't always have to be worn just for a dramatic effect, they can also be worn to accentuate your eye in a natural yet defining way. I don't wear falsies everyday ( if you do..how do you do it?!) but sometimes when my mood permits me to wear them on an average day I go for a natural/wispy lash or just an accent lash for the outer part of my eye. Buying lashes isn't as an easy job as you may think, you really have to consider the brand due to mink lashes! Luckily I can present to you a brand which have just brought out a line of faux mink lashes as well as their other natural lashes. From fluffy, natural and salon style see how you can get the look below! All lashes from Kiss Faux Mink - LBD Lash Give me all the Hollywood starlet glam! I cant help but feel like Audrey Hepburn or Elizabeth Taylor in these lashes. They are fluffy, wispy yet add a little drama. This lash can be re-used up to 10 times if you look after them im sure they will last even longer th...

#BEAUTY | Effortless and Drastic glow for under £10!

Recently I got sent some amazing glow products from my faves over at essence . For me nothing beats glowy, rosy skin all year round but especially in the summer. There was one stand out product for me, but all in all you cant go too wrong with any of these products because they are so affordable! These little chubb sticks really pack on the glow! Its so annoying that the one I want to really show up on camera doesn't! The swatch you can see is the HOLO WOW stick which is for those who are not afraid to have a very bright holographic highlight or equally as good for specific makeup looks e.g. drag makeup, futuristic makeup. If you want a real effortless  glow, you need the 3D DEWY LOOK , it kind of feels like an oil when you apply it but its not sticky or smudgy - it stays exactly where you place it and is amazing on top of cheekbones! If you want to intensify your glow even more, then add a little bit of highlight above your brows, on your nose and cupids b...

SKINCARE | REN'S Ready Steady Glow Tonic

Since I ran out of my current moisturiser I thought I might as well give another product a go. I have been wanting to try REN's latest product for a while so it was the right time to start using just this in a one step simple skincare routine. I wanted to use it on its own to actually see what kind of results I got and if it really does make my skin glow. The first thing that hit me was the refreshing citrus smell, I thought I would test it on my hand first off just to see if I would be sensitive to it and to my surprise the cotton pad was really quite filthy aha but it left my hand super soft. I took the plunge to try it on my face and again....filthy cotton pad but super soft skin. It leaves the skin sort of tacky which gives it that glow, to me its a similar glow as to when you put oil on your face but less oily obviously :) I let it air dry which only takes a few moments then I either put my makeup on, or leave as is. I use it every morning as it is a great way to wa...

#BEAUTY | Banish dry skin and lips with natural products - CRUELTY FREE

Who would have thought having soft hands and skin was a luxury, dry hands are a lot more common than originally thought. I mean being a women who does everything herself, DIY, washing, cleaning ,more washing, painting, washing with chemicals, dying hair....you get the drift. All that adulting takes their toll on our hands, so its important we look after them. All products are natural and cruelty free!  Here are some goodies I got sent from Avernaco , there are 2 hand creams and a lip butter. Hand and Skin Shield - Liquid Gloves The packaging at first is quite striking. Not fancy or over done, a packaging that says "I do the job, I'm not just here to be pretty" a product I would instantly go for off the shelf to solve my dry skin problem. The fragrance is refreshing and earthy with hints of aloe vera & jojoba, after putting on a little dab of cream my hands were instantly soft ...no kidding, its like a liquid glove. I cant help but rub my fingers over...

#BEAUTY | The top 3 eyeshadow palettes for bright looks

So you're looking to create a bright az look, a kind of out of this world . popping #eotd? Then you need these 3 palettes. It isn't just the colours that are the reason but the intense creamy pigments and they way it goes smoothly on the skin.  Juvias Place Magic Palette Since I bought this beauty all I have wanted to do is use it in every makeup look, take endless photos of it and just touch it...aha yes it is really THAT good, beats me why I only have this palette and not any others from Juvias Place?! I think I may have done a separate post on this before and explained my love for it then!  Morphe 35B  This palette is a mix of shimmer and mattes, the shimmers are super creamy and similar to those of the juvias palette in texture. The mattes are equally as pigmented but just a more powder texture, but it doesn't take away from the pigment. This one pretty much has all the colours you need and is my go to palette colour. It is also a very de...

#BEAUTY | Maybelline Blush Kit + Matte Maker

Finding the right blush can be quite a task, its the finishing touch to all makeup looks and should not be overlooked or forgotten. I feel it can do so much to a face. It gives the perfect flush of colour to a tan-less, needs-a-holiday badly, where-the-hell-is-summer face. I've realised though, its not that simple to pick a colour as there is so many blushes to pick from, singles to palettes or even creamy blushes. I found my balance between a peachy orange and a subtle glow of pink, and from this palette I use the peachy tone with the tiniest of sprinkles of the pink. Purple is not for me personally but I can still use it as an eyeshadow. I normally use my Nip + Fab blush palette as the tones are my cup of tea, and I believe it will be my go to whilst I try new ones in between. The Maybelline blush kit also comes with a highlighter of which is pigmented in its own right, but can be a tad more glittery if you apply too much, that's me comparing it to t...

#BEAUTY | Gold halo eye using Essence Cosmetics

Essence Cosmetics isn't a very well known brand, at least to me it isn't. I have memories of seeing it in Wilkinson's stores but not anywhere else. I was also of the opinion that the brand wasn't of great quality...once again stereotyping and a lesson of why we shouldn't stereotype! I got sent these samples from a PR company and felt really inspired to use the star product for me, the gold metal shock eyeshadow. oh how pigmented is thee? for a product that retails at £3.50! they come in 4 colour shades I believe, and are of a cream texture with the applicator which I guess I would use if I was applying it on my full lid but as I was just creating a halo eye I used a smaller brush for precision. It dried in just the right amount of time so it didn't transfer on my upper lid area :) The only other product I used for this look was this highlighter. I mean I thought the rainbow highlighter craze had been and gone but its still around brighte...

#BEAUTY | Makeup Revolution Flawless 4 eyeshadows + NEW concealer

In my bid to do a full face of affordable and decent makeup, I went on a shopping trip to gather my items....and of course to grab that concealer the whole beauty world is talking about (or so it seems) so my trip was a disappointing one as the store I went to was near enough empty of makeup revolution :( so I bought this flawless 4 eyeshadow kit and concealer and intend to buy other bits like foundation, brow and lip products etc somewhere else. For the time being though I wanted to share my thoughts on this palette. The colours are stunning, I'm actually so happy at how high street brands are really good quality for the money, I believe this palette was £6. I was drawn to the pinks and reds and of course the shimmer shades, both being really pigmented. There is a bit of fallout but mostly in the darker colours. There is a good range of mattes and shimmers and saying that also a good range of crease colours and lid colours. The concealer which is being co...
