#SKINCARE | My Skin Story With Dermalogica - precleanse, cleanser, superfoliant, soothing cream

Hello my lovely readers,

If you prefer the spoken word then I do have a YouTube video with my first impressions and how I used these products in my skincare routine, all links are on my blog.
But I did have a little trouble with the audio and the timings of the speech so I didn't feel I could fit everything I wanted to say on the video , alas my blog post

Just to recap, I got sent this Dermalogica box via Influenster which is a site for bloggers to review items they have used and to be also in with a chance of getting sent stuff to review free of charge.

I was actually glad for two reasons that I got sent this Dermalogica box
1) I had never tried anything from this brand beforehand
2) my skin of late has been feeling like an abandoned umbrella on a rainy day

my skin is oily to combination, mostly an oily t -zone and I do get dry patches here and there through out the cold season

The two products which I found to be most useful to me were the pre-cleanse balm (came with the mitt) and the moisturiser, I say this because I do moisturise everyday sometimes 3x a day and I do like to use a thick product like the pre cleanse balm to clean my face ( it also has a lovely lavender smell ) Both of the products was hydrating to my skin without making it oily and created a healthy glow.
The cream claims to basically combat outer worldly pollution, so like a filter on the face and it contains arnica, aloe and cucumber; I love the fact it has arnica in as it is used to cool bruises and has a real refreshing / calming feeling to it.

I already use a glycol scrub from Nip and Fab for exfoliating and for my skin type that works really well, so I wasn't overly fussed shall I say about the daily superfoliant . I think it is a cool concept of mixing the power with water to create a paste type mask thing , but I also felt its a it of a fuss to do that.....in reality its me being lazy aha

like I mentioned in my video I wouldn't recommend the cleansing gel, as it made my skin feel tight and dry-ish, it isn't so bad if you do moisturise with a thick cream after but If you are planning to just cleanse it will leave your face feeling dry and tight. Again it may work well on other skin types, but for me it didn't

I am really looking in to trying some of the other products, which may be more suited to my skin type. Let me know if you have tried any or recommend any!

#BEAUTY | Faux Mink Lashes for a Natural/Flattering Look

Lashes don't always have to be worn just for a dramatic effect, they can also be worn to accentuate your eye in a natural yet defining way. I don't wear falsies everyday ( if you do..how do you do it?!) but sometimes when my mood permits me to wear them on an average day I go for a natural/wispy lash or just an accent lash for the outer part of my eye. Buying lashes isn't as an easy job as you may think, you really have to consider the brand due to mink lashes! Luckily I can present to you a brand which have just brought out a line of faux mink lashes as well as their other natural lashes. #TRAVEL | Liverpool

Its been a month since I visited Liverpool for the first time, its only right that I share my trip :) First of its a very friendly place, but I have come to learn that most places apart from London are....sorry London but its true.  I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days and I would say that it was enough time to explore the main parts of Liverpool and get a vibe for it. Im happy that I can now sing "ferry across the mersy" and constantly shout.. I've been there! I've been there! Its the little things that make it worth it aha Im a sucker for being near water and also in the city centre and the hotel I stayed which was called the tune hotel was the perfect walk away from the river as well as the city. A 5 min walk to the famous Cavern Club. Museums are a plenty and I visited them all! My fave being the museum of Liverpool, lots of interactive fun things to do and to learn. I would recommend taking a part of the day to go on the bus tours o...
