#FASHION | Sunglasses you NEED for summer!

Sunglass season is finally upon us, well for me it is always sunglass season as i always carry a pair in my bag or have a pair stuck to my face! But least it means we dont get weird looks as to why we are wearing our sunnies in the rain ha!

I dont ever ever think a girl can have to many sunglasses, there are just so many styles and so many face shapes, so many moods and so many selfies to take ;D i have tried SO hard to narrow down my favourite glasses, which i think you may be able to at least pick one and think
"yes, that style will suit me!"

You can pick up most of these stypes over at
1. Lord of the rims -
Im getting a vintage x modern vibe with this, the whole rims are super modern and trendy right now but the shape and tortoise shell pattern really throw it back to the 50's. I have been wearing these non stop since i got these from cheap ass sunglasses, they actually have such a alrge collection and at THE most reasonable prices! Some of the styles remind me of the Quay Australia sunnies!

2. Tortoise Shell/ Round glasses - the glasses that are slightly in the background are the ones im talking about here lol. These are my ultimate go to sunnies, they have the nicest circle frame which isnt totally circle or too big for the face and they too create a 50's vibe. I actually cannot remember where i got them from though, ughh, so annoying. But if i was to guess it would either be h&m or new look.

3. Square glasses - the ultimate cover up -
These are the type of glasses you need in your life when you have those emotional moments and need to conceal your runny mascara and swollen eyes....or you could just be totally hungover walking the street at 6am and not want to deal with the shame LOL which ever it is, then you need these. They are the best swamping kind of glasses but also look chic. My fave pair to wear when i want to add a bit of chic to my casual outfit. I think thet are from h&m.

4. Circle glasses - Primark
lets take it back to the 60's when the huge circle glasses were a thang! I mean i dont think these are for every face shape but one beauty who could pull this off and kill a few peeps with it is the glam Natalie Wood! I know they had these floating around a while back in Primark, but i cant think if i got mine from new look maybe, cos my sister went and copped a cheaper pair from primark..much to my dismay!

5. Mirrored glasses - 2016 staple - eBay
This year mirrored sunglasses have taken over and every celeb, blogger and influencer have a pair. Is it because we can look at ourselves in the mirror? Two birds one stone and all that...haha not for me anyway. But i really think they are great for telling which of your friends actually listen to you when you talk or if they are just staring at themeselves in your glasses HAHA! Super trendy and sexy. I got mine for like £3 from eBay with a blue colour mirror but you can get different tints and styles! Go check them out!

6. Cat eye - Amazon
The glasses on the left are the ultimate cat eye , haha you cant escape the decades in any of my posts! I saw these on amazon and i had to have a pair jsut so i could emulate the likes of sophia loren, marilyn monroe and audrey hepburn. If you are not really in to the 50's give them a miss but i think they are super cute!

7. Low level aviator - primark
I dont have the typical mirrored aviators, why?? i ask myself that too. But i did pick these up from primark a few years ago and they have the same shape as aviators just with a turtoise shell pattern. Super casj simple glasses.

Sunglasses are my favourite accessory EVER, what is yours?

#BEAUTY | BHS's Live Love London cosmetic range

Yay! Back doing a post on what i LOVE - makeup!

Some of you may recognise this brand this brand from your local BHS stores as that is where they are stocked. The brand is Live Love London and they are such a reasonable price for the quality. If you are a bit of a makeup hoarder like me you know that it can be pretty expensive if your always buying the likes of MAC, NARS, urban decay and so on. So i was actually suprised when i used these products and found out how pigmented they was!
I popped a few shades on to my fingers so you can see what im talking about with the pigmentation, this is the love sexy palette of which all shades a shimmer. The bottom left big shade is GORGEOUS! It creates the most pigmented glitter/shimmer shade and reminds me of those MAC pigments. There is quite a colour range which i love, but it has the basic whites, browns and dark browns that you need for any eye look!

Im not a huge fan of the whites in the contour palette as for my they are too bright so i use them as shadows instead, as for the brown contour shades i was so happy with them! The middle two are the perfect cool shades for the contour and the top right shade is perf for bronzer!
This highlight is for sure on par with the MUA irridecent one, but i think maybe its a bit brighter! This one is kind of a pinky shimmer but you would notice it to be pink, it creates a lovely shine and 100% worth the money.
I just love looking at the picture of it undisturbed haha no marks or pan showing, looks so pretty right?
As you must know i am such a nude girl when it comes to lippy but its always nice to have colours if you fancy a change, this one i wouldnt normally pick for my skin tone i feel like it washes me out, but then again i think that about a lot of bright colours on myself haha but it is a nice purple with pink undertones and it has a shiny finish. It is perf for a pop of colour and i think if you have brown eyes it would really suit you! Also lets just bow down to the packaging, its super chic!
As the makeup industry grows and high end makeup is starting to become more of the norm it can be quite easy for us to forget all about high st makeup and push it to the back but i dont think i ever will forget about this bunch! The brand is fab!

I blame Drake for the recent surge in summer vibes, i mean how can you not vibe out to "one dance" wishing you had a cocktail in one hand, some sassy heels, the most free flowing clothes and the sun beaming on your skin?! So i have linked my top picks all from Pretty Little Thing. com
The bardot crop tops are taking the fashion world by storm right now, im also feeling the flirty boho vibes from the floral skater dress and the roman type sandles. I think they are in every year but im loving the extra detailing.

Everything is linked! Just click the image <3

#BEAUTY | My monthly beauty favourites

Seeing as there are way too many beauty products i am LOVING right now i had to compile a post so i could share them with you! I cant be keeping all the goodness to myself now can i?! I have more products than i have enough body parts to use them on BUT i cant ever see myself stopping from trying out new products :')

Lets see what i am loving..

My love for this brand is no secret, i have a post on just one of the lipsticks alone, here! haha i know right? i single post on just one lipstick, sorry but i love them that much! sorry not sorry :) Aside from the gorgeous gold bullet packaging the colour range of the liquid lipsticks and lipsticks are just so me. Im such a nude/brown lip colour gal and they have such a range of them. A girl cant have too many nudes! Thats a rule to live by. So far i have UNDERGROUND, LONDON FOG and ICED MOCHA. I mean they are around £9 each which sometimes i think im mad for spending that on one item but they are truly beautiful and i actually prefer the matte liquid lipsticks cos they stay on a lot longer.

As beauty  blogger you should know all about the nivea post shave balm! If you dont where have you been??  Most makeup gurus have been using this badboy as a primer, i have tried it a couple of times and i think it has amazing stay value, the makeup doesnt slip and slide on the primer and a smells so nice. Im a lover of mens smelling products so this is jsut an extra tick for moi!

I recently contacted Jurlique to see if there was any blogger opps and to my dismay there wasnt but i was sent this balancing mist as a sample and even this i am grateful for! You know how it is when you want to try a product and you just dont know wether to invest or not, aside from the fact you have so much stuff already can you really afford more!! Im just so glad i got to try this because i have not stopped using it. It smells DIVINE!! Like mmmmm girl, i just cant explain , summer in a bottle! I spray it over my  face in the morning, after a bath, before i do my makeup. It helps to hydrate my skin and to make it super soft! Cos it is a spritz, like a sharp burst i feel like it wakes me up! Im 100% going to try more from this brand.

I have a seperate post on this and a few more products from the beautiful SBC range! HERE. So i wont go into too much detail but i love the fact that this is a gel moisturiser, like i have never come across one before? Maybe i was living under a rock lol who knows, but its super cool and light on the skin. Something to bear in mind now that summer is coming, thick creams ae just a no no, thats why this one is a winner!

A hair product! Yippiee, im always so concentrated on my skin and makeup i often leave out my hair! I picked up this detangler just for a little spritz for my hair to give it that nice smell and to just give it a bit of oomf. I never put anything in my hair and it always seems limp, this of course isnt a plumper or anything but i just feel like it gives it that something extra.

This isnt a beauty realted item but its beautiful none the less!

Hand Written Cards!
I recieved a lovely card from +Sarah Dickinson who is over on twitter @ sunshinesarahxo and owns the blog and i was so happy. Like it had such a wonderful message and really empowering and positive towards blogging/ and being blogging BFF'S. I think in the world of emails and social media its easy to forget about the basics. Me being slightly old fashined love anything hand written and heartfelt and it just really had a positive impact! Great choice of card too, i LOVE it!!
Being a MUG addict anyway, of course im going to also love their duo chrome shadows which are basically shiny when they hit the light. I only have 2 so far but i love them. I couldnt recommend them enough as they are so pigmented and pretty. Im growing my collection one shadow at a time!

So cute and flirty. I love these lashes because they add effect without being so out there! So they are just perfect for all things, day or night. They have the band which sits so nice on the eye and isnt uncomfortable at all.

This concealer has been my favourite so far. Creamy and blendable, good coverage but also feels lightweight, like hello, what more do you want?

#BEAUTY | Oil pulling with Mintycoco

Introducing the easy way to oil pulling with mintycoco
I started oil pulling a year or so a go on and off when it became a craze and i just used ordinary coconut oil from a tub...which turned out is pretty messy haha! Putting your fingers in a tub and having the oil melt instantly to a liquid on you is just not my type of fun!

Mintycoco have introduced a convenient way of getting the oil from A to B. You basically hold the packet in your hand for a bit as it is solid, and i will quickly turn to a liquid. Which then you can just pour straight into your mouth and swish away.
I just love these mintycoco packets because of their ease but also the taste. I have been known to gag once i have the normal coconut oil in my mouth because, well, really its just a bit weird have a substance like oil and the taste of it in your mouth. As the mintycoco has the mint flavour to it, it is a lot more acceptable haha it also gives a more refreshed feeling afterwards!
There are lots of helpful tips and directions on a leaflet that comes with the oils. But the jist of it is to help your dental hygiene and to brighten your teeth naturally! There are no chemicals involved and im always up for trying natural products. I think if you use them regualary you will notice a difference not only in the colour but also the health. Maybe less bleeding if you have bleeding gums, but i think its more of something you will feel yourself , like
i really do feel my mouth is a lot more clean and stronger in a way. Im not as anxious when i eat citrus fruits or drinks.
You can easily buy the box of 14 here , or even save money and subscribe and get them monthly so you up keep your oil pulling!

have you ever tried any oil pulling before?

#BEAUTY | SBC gels

One of my favourite ingredients for my skin, especially dry skin is manuka honey. So i tried out some of the honey products from the SBC Gels and havent stopped using them. They have replaced my usual products. So lets have a product break down!
The manuka honey and orange blossom scrub has really fine bits in it which are very helpful for exfoliating, but as a they are super fine it is a lot more nicer to  use than some products that have the larger exfoliating bits in them!
Manuka honey & orange blossom body butter - as you have guessed by the name this is a body butter! They dont tend to be my go to product as i dont really like the consistancy. I love the smell of this, its so fragrent. After i have used the shower wash i either use this or the gel to get me some soft soft skin!

These two are my favourite from the honey selection. There is the bath and shower gel (on the left) and the skincare gel. The bath and shower gel smells so strongly of honey and lathers up in to a nice foamy bubbly wash, leaving you smelling nice and freshly clean. The gel is to just die for, i cant wait to use this in the summer because it is a gel it feels so cold and re-freshing to the skin! I actually havent used a gel like this before, it is really good for getting into deep areas of the skin, i feel it has aready improved the texture of my skin! If i could recommend one of the products it would certainly be this!

I am so impressed with this section of the range i am looking to try out more of the other products!

#OOTD | A twist on a traditional 50's housewife

I decided to finally make that subtle transition. Yes, i have brought back the vintage (maybe introduced it, i have only done a few decade type posts), my real passion. Scrap that, i have an intense loving for 50's fashion, cinema and music. Maybe i have previously made excuses about how expensive it is to buy vintage clothes - cos it is haha but there is a difference to buying vintage clothes with that label or going to a charity shop and finding vintage inspired clothes. Even in some of the high st shops there are subtle vintage influences. But to me vintage clothing is easier to find in a charity shop/boot sale.

Let me explain the reason behind the title, why i think its a twist. I orignally bought this second hand dress which is formly from next for an upcoming interview i have, as i dont like to wear a boring shirt and trouser to interviews, it lacks a certain kind of personality. This dress literally called my name, i saw it as soon as i walked in and convinced myself to carry in walking and not to buy anymore clothes haha but i went back to it 3 times!!! Then i decided YOLO its got to be mine.

It is a suede texture on the outside with a comfortable silk on the inside, beautifully made and creating a beautiful silhouette. For just under £5 you cant go wrong. After i tried it on the vintage theme really came to mind. So i knew i just had to shoot it but add a twist! Adding the glasses which are so 50's (i have a ton of 50's sunnies!) and the gloves which were im sure another charity buy years ago and of course the brogues, it really shouted 50's. I love the belting detail, it really adds that hourglass figure every 50's women seemed to have.

Although this all shouts 50's the henna doesnt! But there is where the twist comes in ;) i of course didnt henna my hand for this look as i done it a few days ago but i wanted to incorporate it cos it looked modern. I love the idea of bringing vintage and modern together, i think they really go hand in hand <3

I am hoping to do more of these vintage looks as well as my everyday looks cos i
really enjoy the art of it.

Brogues - New Look
Gloves - Vintage - ebay is a good shout!
Glasses - vintage - similar
Dress - vintage - similar

do you like this look?
should i do more?
