#OOTD | Summer Dress of Dreams

I hope all is well with my lovely readers, I have just been busy soaking up the sun whilst we have it and trying to adult! Thought I would share with you the dress I am loving at the moment.

Here it is, the summer dress of dreams. Its floral, floaty and has beautiful colours,..oh and its a steal at only £13 from Primark. There is a few summer styles to choose from at the moment in Primark, they have open backed, maxi, this style in different colours and patterns. Obviously I had to talk myself out of buying more than one! I just added a few accessories from Soul and Style . I have had a few comments on the dress, saying it looks a lot more expensive than it is and general compliments of how beautiful the pattern is. Its def a summer steal, so I would race down to your local Primark and grab it now.

#HEALTH | Precious Pearl Enamel Remineralising Serum -Beverly Hills Formula

Another toothpaste I have been trying out, I feel there isn't any harm in trying out toothpastes because they pretty much all do the same job but with different flavours and textures. I'm not sure the texture of this was one of my personal faves as it was quite grainy and I prefer a much smoother texture, the flavour is quite subtle so its great if you are not a big fan of overpowering mint smells.

#HOME | Curiosity Corner Candle by Crabtree and Evelyn

My name is Sarah and i am a candle addict

Is there a word in the dictionary for a candle addict/lover/?..if not then there should be because its a real thing. Now, I cant say what makes the perfect candle, the smell? the packaging? the type of jar? It has to be a combo of all 3 right? I always think that it is but then over all the years and all the candles I have bought that doesn't always apply. Sometimes a candle can look so plain and bare but just have that scent that you could die for!!

Im going to put it out there im not a huge fan of Yankee Candles...I only like a select few of their smells.
A few of my fave smells are smoke, musk, sandalwood, cedarwood.  fir, fig, fresh cotton, oats and honey … I could go on, but you get the jist for the smells I like

The Curiosity corner candle has these top notes, cedarwood, leather and cade and they are suppose to help unleash your creativity. It smells soooooo gorgeous and if you like any of the smells I have listed above then you will love this candle.

It burns so evenly and comes in a stunning jar which is super sturdy and once you have burned the candle to the end (noooooo, worst nightmare, don't ever leave me :,[ ) you can re use the jar for tea lights or even handy brush holder!

Here are a few of my faves & some funky styles

SKINCARE | REN'S Ready Steady Glow Tonic

Since I ran out of my current moisturiser I thought I might as well give another product a go. I have been wanting to try REN's latest product for a while so it was the right time to start using just this in a one step simple skincare routine. I wanted to use it on its own to actually see what kind of results I got and if it really does make my skin glow.

The first thing that hit me was the refreshing citrus smell, I thought I would test it on my hand first off just to see if I would be sensitive to it and to my surprise the cotton pad was really quite filthy aha but it left my hand super soft.
I took the plunge to try it on my face and again....filthy cotton pad but super soft skin. It leaves the skin sort of tacky which gives it that glow, to me its a similar glow as to when you put oil on your face but less oily obviously :)

I let it air dry which only takes a few moments then I either put my makeup on, or leave as is. I use it every morning as it is a great way to wake you up and make you feel ready as well as giving an effortless glow, its so gentle on the skin. I did start using it before bed also, not religiously but I think it helps with tightening the skin and making pores less noticeable. Now that I have been using it I cant not imagine using it or to think what else I would replace it with.

Its suppose to encourage natural cell renewal and gently exfoliate the skin, forming a new layer of skin without being harsh in any way shape or form. I actually prefer using this to using a exfoliator with beads in, as not only is it more comfortable but it means I can do it daily and with only a few swipes! so for all us busy ladies it takes no time at all ;)
( make sure you are using some sunscreen as it makes your skin more sensitive to the sun)

If you haven't tried this I would say go try it, if its a bit pricey for you (£25) then I would maybe suggest pixi's glow tonic (£10-£18) which I believe is similar and another REN product which works well with this is the perfect canvas of which I have reviewed here
let me know if you try it!

#NOSTALGIA | Icons reading books

ever dreamed of being a pretty young thing in the times of 'Grease', 'the Outsiders' or further back than that? 'breakfast at Tiffany's' or even 'the Great Gatsby'. I would give up all the wi fi, junk food and tv shows in the world to have experienced it. Well...maybe just to go back and experience it for a week or so, after having the human rights we do today and freedom of thought and choices maybe living through those times wouldn't be so fun. movies and books really do have an effect on the imagination don't they. If times gone by is one of my favourite things, so are books. even more so is icons from times gone by reading books! The greats reading the greats, so bask in the dreaminess of it all with me and feel some type of way after looking through the archives...

#BEAUTY | Banish dry skin and lips with natural products - CRUELTY FREE

Who would have thought having soft hands and skin was a luxury, dry hands are a lot more common than originally thought. I mean being a women who does everything herself, DIY, washing, cleaning ,more washing, painting, washing with chemicals, dying hair....you get the drift. All that adulting takes their toll on our hands, so its important we look after them. All products are natural and cruelty free!

Here are some goodies I got sent from Avernaco, there are 2 hand creams and a lip butter.

Hand and Skin Shield - Liquid Gloves

The packaging at first is quite striking. Not fancy or over done, a packaging that says "I do the job, I'm not just here to be pretty" a product I would instantly go for off the shelf to solve my dry skin problem. The fragrance is refreshing and earthy with hints of aloe vera & jojoba, after putting on a little dab of cream my hands were instantly soft ...no kidding, its like a liquid glove. I cant help but rub my fingers over each other to keep the softness alive. It doesn't transfer any oils or feel greasy to touch things straight after. I give this a 10/10!

Intensive Skin Therapy -

The packaging on this one is a lot more fun and descriptive as in you see the photo of the ingredients , it is similar in feel to the other cream just a tad bit lightweight and absorbs in the skin very quickly. The fragrance is a bit more sweeter and fruitier and you can really smell the paw paw. It feels soft but with has a slightly more tacky feel. My score is 8/10, on fragrance preference .

Paw Paw Lip Butter

This was probably my favourite of the 3! It is super hydrating, and lasts really well. I do love me some Vaseline, so I'm comparing it to that. The lip butter absorbs so much better and made my lips feel hydrated not just as if the product was sitting on my lips. It has a lovely sheen of a finish, which gives the 'make up no makeup look' effortless kind of stuff I always ship! The paw paw smell isn't as over powering with this due to the honey and vanilla. Honey is a big skincare love of mine, its a natural ingredient which is proven to help with skin issues. This is a 10/10!

All can be found at

#OOTD | Paris tee x Tweed Skirt

Today’s fit is considering the fact that it is now sunscreen weather and not coat weather, that reminds me I must stop putting oil on my skin otherwise I’m going to bake. I find I can be all over the place with my style, skincare routine and makeup when the weather suddenly changes. It never seems to be an easy transition, more like BAM its here! A simple Paris tee, because when is Paris ever a bad idea, this tee shirt is actually from the £ shop….yes, I said it, I did it ..I never thought I would wear anything from the pound shop but then at the end of the day it is still a t-shirt, it is still cotton and somebody still made it. I feel like I’m probably too old to really care about labels and what people think now anyway aha! The tweed skirt is a typical classic, one of those items you have for years and years because it goes with anything and everything (especially in a neutral colour like black) it can also be worn casual, smart or fancy. I got mine from www.soulandstyleshop.com so I will link similar skirts below also. Let me know what you guys have been up to, I’ve missed you all <3

#BEAUTY | The top 3 eyeshadow palettes for bright looks

So you're looking to create a bright az look, a kind of out of this world . popping #eotd? Then you need these 3 palettes. It isn't just the colours that are the reason but the intense creamy pigments and they way it goes smoothly on the skin.

 Juvias Place Magic Palette
Since I bought this beauty all I have wanted to do is use it in every makeup look, take endless photos of it and just touch it...aha yes it is really THAT good, beats me why I only have this palette and not any others from Juvias Place?! I think I may have done a separate post on this before and explained my love for it then!

 Morphe 35B
This palette is a mix of shimmer and mattes, the shimmers are super creamy and similar to those of the juvias palette in texture. The mattes are equally as pigmented but just a more powder texture, but it doesn't take away from the pigment. This one pretty much has all the colours you need and is my go to palette colour. It is also a very decent price for the amount of shades you get. I think a makeup artist must have this!

Too Faced Semi Sweet
Okay you got me, this isn't really a bright colour palette as in you open it and go WAUW, buuuutt hear me out! It has a lot of shimmer tones which I would describe as bright, so it doubles up as a highlighting palette as well as an eyeshadow one. I have had this a few years now, and I'm in a state of mind where I want to use it all the time but I also don't want to hit pan! The bronze shades are dreams, I haven't come across any other bronze shades that I love more than these - peanut butter is my all time favourite ever and the only thing that may come close would be potentially a shade from the makeup revolution subculture dupe palette!

Where I couldn't find the links I have added similar products!

#BEAUTY | Maybelline Blush Kit + Matte Maker

Finding the right blush can be quite a task, its the finishing touch to all makeup looks and should not be overlooked or forgotten. I feel it can do so much to a face. It gives the perfect flush of colour to a tan-less, needs-a-holiday badly, where-the-hell-is-summer face. I've realised though, its not that simple to pick a colour as there is so many blushes to pick from, singles to palettes or even creamy blushes.

I found my balance between a peachy orange and a subtle glow of pink, and from this palette I use the peachy tone with the tiniest of sprinkles of the pink. Purple is not for me personally but I can still use it as an eyeshadow.

I normally use my Nip + Fab blush palette as the tones are my cup of tea, and I believe it will be my go to whilst I try new ones in between.

The Maybelline blush kit also comes with a highlighter of which is pigmented in its own right, but can be a tad more glittery if you apply too much, that's me comparing it to the Mary Lou Manizer by texture.

As for the Matte Maker Mattifying powder, there isn't much moaning to do; it does what it says on the tin! It is great to set the areas you need to as well as for priming the eyes, easily can be popped into your handbag if you need to touch up your makeup throughout the night :)

Its a thumbs up from moi <3

#OOTD | Seeing red with this Nasty Gal jumpsuit

Long time, no speak. Isn't that how every conversation starts once you're an adult? So funny how as a teen you are so oblivious to the fact of what life is and want to grow up in a hurry! I have been MIA on my blog and I must admit it has been bothering me, I have felt uninspired of recent and don't want to blog for the sake of it. Not only do I blame the weather (thanks for the dry skin!) but also side projects, as well as life events.

I'm currently in the midst of setting something up, of which I don't want to be more specific yet as its in its early stages but I do hope once it gets going I have all your support :) #girlboss
my focus is currently on that, but never far away from blogging, makeup, creating, youtube and everything in between.

I shall be back with a bad gal bang, seeing as I am testing out the benefit newbie I thought that was quite fitting mwahha I also have some new makeup and skincare of which I am testing out before I give a review annndddd waiting for some good good weather to shoot some o-o-t-d's cos I love creating them. But for now, I'm going to post some photos of a shoot I did a few weeks ago which was my birthday outfit :) I went ga ga for it as soon as I saw it and I got it in a size 8 as I find nasty gal sizes come up quite big.

You can catch me on my socials <3

#BEAUTY | Gold halo eye using Essence Cosmetics

Essence Cosmetics isn't a very well known brand, at least to me it isn't. I have memories of seeing it in Wilkinson's stores but not anywhere else. I was also of the opinion that the brand wasn't of great quality...once again stereotyping and a lesson of why we shouldn't stereotype!

I got sent these samples from a PR company and felt really inspired to use the star product for me, the gold metal shock eyeshadow.

oh how pigmented is thee? for a product that retails at £3.50! they come in 4 colour shades I believe, and are of a cream texture with the applicator which I guess I would use if I was applying it on my full lid but as I was just creating a halo eye I used a smaller brush for precision. It dried in just the right amount of time so it didn't transfer on my upper lid area :)

The only other product I used for this look was this highlighter. I mean I thought the rainbow highlighter craze had been and gone but its still around brightening up those blue Mondays! It doesn't show up very well on camera, but it was an alright highlighter with reflects of the rainbow colours, but not really a product I would go to pick up in a shop.

this lipstick isn't a shade I would wear, but I swatched it anyway :) I love the imprint on the actual lipstick itself, its a creamy texture which is great if you don't want a lipstick to be drying. well needed lipstick during winter I say

my second fave is this nail varnish. enter the realm of galactic space, its a pinkie white nail varnish but when the light hits its green! like a holographic green colour and I think its so beautiful. I was actually mesmerised by my nails for a while aha

overall I think some of the products are hits and some are misses, but if you find the good ones you will be pleasantly surprised and as most of the products are such descent prices so you not going to be majorly disappointed if you don't end up using it

I added some similar products below x
