#BEAUTY | Skincare tips for combination skin

Hello January/February! I want to say I cant believe how fast January has gone, but its only been the last week that it seemed to have whizzed by. The weather is once again getting involved in my skincare routine and I have to change what products I have been using.

I have been drowning myself in Mac's strobe cream more than anything since the sun went into hiding. Im pretty certain MAC superfans will have this as their all time staple for the perfect glowy base. It is quite the little miracle and can add a woken up look to the dullest skin. I think its worth the little investment if you're into glowy skin.

La Roche-Posay is somewhat of a new brand for me. Having first tried it out as another blogger recommended it. I have got their makeup remover which I spoke about in my recent youtube vid. This anti pore matt moisturiser I have started using as I like the consistency of it, its more of a serum. It can be used as a base for the skin as it has a little tacky feel to it. I love it because it helps my skin to be less oily without it drying out my skin. So it brings me the right balance. This brand is fab if you have sensitive skin btw.

Just arrived the other day was this REN glow gel cream I ordered and I have used it a few times, I love the light consistency of it. I wanted the cream version as I do have the glow tonic, which I prefer to use in the summer. This is a bit better for the winter as it has more coverage and hydrates the skin. It says it also protects against pollution which is a bonus for us Londoners ha!

Let me know what your tips for combination skin are!
XOXO

#TRAVEL | Liverpool

Its been a month since I visited Liverpool for the first time, its only right that I share my trip :)
First of its a very friendly place, but I have come to learn that most places apart from London are....sorry London but its true.
I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days and I would say that it was enough time to explore the main parts of Liverpool and get a vibe for it.

Im happy that I can now sing "ferry across the mersy" and constantly shout..
I've been there!
I've been there!
Its the little things that make it worth it aha

Im a sucker for being near water and also in the city centre and the hotel I stayed which was called the tune hotel was the perfect walk away from the river as well as the city. A 5 min walk to the famous Cavern Club.

Museums are a plenty and I visited them all! My fave being the museum of Liverpool, lots of interactive fun things to do and to learn.

I would recommend taking a part of the day to go on the bus tours of which you can jump on at many areas, the little tit bits of info about Liverpool are what I thrive on. A great way to get to know the city in a short amount of time.

The Albert Docks are a sure place to visit. A beautiful industrial history, some museums near by including the titanic and slave museum and lots of places to eat!

The shopping centre area is masssssive and its literally got every shop you can think off. Also full of buskers every day and during the evening :)

If you are looking for some nightlife there is a mini strip near the cavern club and nearby is also a Wetherspoons which is great for some breaky!

Whether you are going for the night life, a mini break or just to first hand see a new place I think Liverpool should be on everyone's list.

#BEAUTY | Faux Mink Lashes for a Natural/Flattering Look

Lashes don't always have to be worn just for a dramatic effect, they can also be worn to accentuate your eye in a natural yet defining way. I don't wear falsies everyday ( if you do..how do you do it?!) but sometimes when my mood permits me to wear them on an average day I go for a natural/wispy lash or just an accent lash for the outer part of my eye. Buying lashes isn't as an easy job as you may think, you really have to consider the brand due to mink lashes! Luckily I can present to you a brand which have just brought out a line of faux mink lashes as well as their other natural lashes. From fluffy, natural and salon style see how you can get the look below!
All lashes from Kiss

Faux Mink - LBD Lash

Give me all the Hollywood starlet glam! I cant help but feel like Audrey Hepburn or Elizabeth Taylor in these lashes. They are fluffy, wispy yet add a little drama. This lash can be re-used up to 10 times if you look after them im sure they will last even longer than that. They have a beautiful soft curl and add so much volume

So Natural

The Iconic lashes are super light and natural and add a touch of oomf. They have a tapered end to make them look more natural and feel comfortable on the lash line. If these are applied really well ( not like mine aha) then I reckon no one would be able to tell that you are wearing falsies

The Flirty Lash

The sister to the Ardell Demi Wispies, which were my favourite for the longest time!!!! They remind me so much of them. Mind my awful application but these lashes are super flirty, fun and wispy. Again these look so natural I wouldn't be able to tell if they were false or not. The multi angle technology in the lashes really help to give a 3D look and not make them a flat or dull curl.

Salon lash without the salon!

In my eyes these look sooooo much like salon lashes! Individual or cluster lashes, believe it or not I have a NVQ in Beauty Therapy and applying individual lashes was one of the modules. So believe me when I tell you they look like salon lashes aha these ones are the most dramatic of the 4 pairs and would probably be stunning for a night out to take your eyes from natural to effortless drama and salon lash realness!

What are your favourite pairs?

Im struggling so hard to pick because these lashes are literally all me, I will wear them all! Im torn between the LBD and the lily ones.

I will also feature some of these in makeup looks on my Instagram, so keep an eye out :)

You can also shop the lashes in store at boots and Superdrug
