#BEAUTY | Gold halo eye using Essence Cosmetics

Essence Cosmetics isn't a very well known brand, at least to me it isn't. I have memories of seeing it in Wilkinson's stores but not anywhere else. I was also of the opinion that the brand wasn't of great quality...once again stereotyping and a lesson of why we shouldn't stereotype! I got sent these samples from a PR company and felt really inspired to use the star product for me, the gold metal shock eyeshadow. oh how pigmented is thee? for a product that retails at £3.50! they come in 4 colour shades I believe, and are of a cream texture with the applicator which I guess I would use if I was applying it on my full lid but as I was just creating a halo eye I used a smaller brush for precision. It dried in just the right amount of time so it didn't transfer on my upper lid area :) The only other product I used for this look was this highlighter. I mean I thought the rainbow highlighter craze had been and gone but its still around brighte

#BEAUTY | Makeup Revolution Flawless 4 eyeshadows + NEW concealer

In my bid to do a full face of affordable and decent makeup, I went on a shopping trip to gather my items....and of course to grab that concealer the whole beauty world is talking about (or so it seems) so my trip was a disappointing one as the store I went to was near enough empty of makeup revolution :( so I bought this flawless 4 eyeshadow kit and concealer and intend to buy other bits like foundation, brow and lip products etc somewhere else. For the time being though I wanted to share my thoughts on this palette. The colours are stunning, I'm actually so happy at how high street brands are really good quality for the money, I believe this palette was £6. I was drawn to the pinks and reds and of course the shimmer shades, both being really pigmented. There is a bit of fallout but mostly in the darker colours. There is a good range of mattes and shimmers and saying that also a good range of crease colours and lid colours. The concealer which is being co

#SKINCARE | My Skin Story With Dermalogica - precleanse, cleanser, superfoliant, soothing cream

Hello my lovely readers, If you prefer the spoken word then I do have a YouTube video with my first impressions and how I used these products in my skincare routine, all links are on my blog. But I did have a little trouble with the audio and the timings of the speech so I didn't feel I could fit everything I wanted to say on the video , alas my blog post Just to recap, I got sent this Dermalogica box via Influenster which is a site for bloggers to review items they have used and to be also in with a chance of getting sent stuff to review free of charge. I was actually glad for two reasons that I got sent this Dermalogica box 1) I had never tried anything from this brand beforehand 2) my skin of late has been feeling like an abandoned umbrella on a rainy day  my skin is oily to combination , mostly an oily t -zone and I do get dry patches here and there through out the cold season The two products which I found to be most useful to me were the pre-cl
